⚖️ Brew Recipe (Sweet & Balanced)
- Coffee: 10 g
- Water: 160 ml
- Ratio: 1:16
- Grind Size: 15 clicks (C3S Pro)
- Water Temperature: 90°C
- Brew Time: ~2:30 min
⏱ Brew Steps (Inverted AeroPress)
- Add 10 g freshly ground coffee to inverted AeroPress
- Start timer and pour 40 ml water
- Gentle swirl
- Bloom for 30 seconds
- Pour remaining water up to 160 ml by 0:50
- Stir gently 2 times
- Steep until 2:00
- Flip AeroPress carefully
- Press slowly from 2:05 → 2:35
- Stop pressing at first hiss
👅 Cup Profile & Notes
- Aroma: Soft caramel, mild fruit sweetness
- Taste: Yellow fruit upfront, toffee-like mid, brown sugar finish
- Acidity: Mild and rounded
- Body: Medium
- Finish: Clean and comforting
Overall, a very easy-drinking cup with no sharp acidity. Works great as a relaxed morning or afternoon brew.
🔧 Adjustment Notes
- Increase temperature to 92°C if the cup feels flat
- Reduce water to 145 ml for more body
- Optional bypass of 15–20 ml hot water for café-style balance
📝 Journal Thoughts
A forgiving coffee and an excellent match for AeroPress. The washed Catimor shines with lower temperatures, highlighting sweetness over acidity. This recipe prioritizes comfort, clarity, and repeatability.
